The history of socialism and the labor movement, the art and literature of classical modernism, the artistic avant-garde in Eastern Europe, these are the main points of the Roten Antiquariats in Berlin and Vienna.
A wide range of books in the fields of philosophy, history and politics is in our
bookshop in Berlin-Mitte. A focus are rare Socialistica and writings from the labor movement and political texts
of the "new left" in all forms: books, brochures, leaflets, posters.
Graphic works of expressionism and constructivism, original publications of the vanguards artistic and literary first editions of
the 20th century, exile literature after 1933 as well as modern art documentaries and photo books can be found in our
bookshop and gallery in Berlin Charlottenburg.
One focus of the
Roten Antiquariat and Gallery Vienna-Berlin in Vienna's Josefstadt district, in addition to rare publications of the Austrian labor movement,
are literary first editions Austrian writer and art documentaries of the 20th century. Regular exhibitions illuminate the then artistic exchange between Vienna and Berlin.
Now you can find our books, graphics and design objects also in the Rotes Antiquariat, Zurich.
